In
October of 2003, internationally recognized bassist
Jon Pomplin began work on what was to be the follow
up CD to the critically acclaimed CD Project
814 "Declassified" with producer Todd
Joos at the Cellar Records studios. After enlisting
the talents of Mark Summers and James Miller, who returned
from the Project 814 sessions, along with the addition
of drummer Steve Morris, work began in earnest and began
moving forward at a brisk pace. In addition to Jon's
new material, Todd, Mark and James each contributed
several songs to this new endeavor including Miller's
passionate song "The Janitor's Song", a tribute
to the common man lost on 9/11.
Each
members musical influences were certainly evident, but
not overpowering, giving the project a unique flavor.
As the recording entered the mixing phase, it became
apparent the project had taken on a life of its' own
and could no longer be considered a Project 814 release.
It was obvious that this album would be the birth of
a completely new entity. Thus, after much discussion
and consideration, "Disguise the Limit" was
born. After tracking at Cellar Records over the course
of 2 years and with the addition of material tracked
at Declassified Records Studios for "Brothers in
Arms" was released in August 2004. The music video
for Brothers in Arms was released in October 2005.
The
CD is now available at the Declassified Records on-line
store, Cellar Records and CD-Baby as well as all the
large digital distribution sites including Apple iTunes.
The release is already enjoying radio airplay on several
major radio stations and has garnered excellent reviews
throughout the music world.
"It
is the pure joy of playing music for the love of creating
art, without the trappings of what was "in"
is what Redemption is all about".

After many years playing the club circuit,
Jon's first recording band “Sea
of Monsters” released their self-titled debut CD
in late 1998. Shortly thereafter, FOX TV Chicago invited the
band to appear at Taste of Chicago on the “The Fox Diner”
stage. Sea of Monsters was signed to a recording contract
and hired as a session bassist, appearing on numerous recordings
at Cellar Records in summer 1998. Later that year, Jon recorded
the internationally acclaimed and "Indie Award"
nominated CD Project
814 "Declassified" with his fellow Cellar session
musicians. Mr. Pomplin has appeared on several major radio
and TV stations and has been interviewed by numerous magazines,
periodicals and web portals as a featured artist. As the owner
of Declassified Records, an independent Avid/Pro Tools production
facility and record label, Jon has worked with both major
and indie artists on various projects. Most recently, Jon
completed scoring the music for the film "Michael
Morlocks Supernatural World". In 2006, Jon was hired

When Todd Joos went to Nashville to pursue
a musical career in 1982, acclaimed producer Wayne Hodge signed
him to a recording contract with Stargem Records. It was at
Stargem that Todd recorded the single "Success" which
charted in the top 40 of Billboard and Cash Box. This was just
the beginning of a string of top 100 successes. In time, he
seemed to have hit the pinnacle of his country music career
and in 1987, he made the decision that it was time to branch
out and play more rock music. Wayne Hodge and Stargem helped
Todd's new band "Natural Touch" (with Bob Brady and
Mark Summers) land a management contract with the Good Music
Agency (GMA) out of Minneapolis MN. This band lasted from 1987
to 1990 and played countless live shows and released one album
before it's split up in early 1990. Since then, Todd started
Cellar Records and
went on to produce a great number of bands from all over the
United States and Canada, several of whom went on to major record
contracts. He has been nominated for 2 Grammy awards (Producer
of the Year and Best Produced Rock Album). Todd is a voting
member of the NARAS Producers and Engineers wing. Cellar
